Because of the numerous high-end properties surrounding the village, Benahavis is one of the wealthiest municipalities in Spain. Benahavis is home to golf resorts such as La Quinta and Los Arqueros and La Zagaleta – an exclusive gated estate that houses some of Spain’s most expensive properties.
Because some of the most prestigious restaurants on the Costa del Sol in the village, it is famous as the “Gastronomic Capital of the Costa del Sol”. The village is offering variety of cuisines from all over the world. Benahavis has a population of just over 7,100 people.
The well-known resorts of Puerto Banus and Marbella are approximately 20 kilometers away. Malaga and Gibraltar airports are at around 70 kilometers away. The nearest beaches to Benahavis are located in Marbella and Estepona, and take around 10 minutes to reach.
The pueblo charms with it´s Andalusian spirit and picturesque small streets. You can visit Benahavis Hills Country Club which is a private community but open for the public. It has a beautiful SPA center and a restaurant with the most stunning sea views because of it´s elevated position.
