Marbella area is home to nearly 150,000 officially registered residents. However figures suggest that the actual population is approximately 250.000 people. The area is centered around the coastal towns of San Pedro de Alcántara and Marbella, as well as in the areas of Nueva Andalucía and Marbella East.

The Sierra Blanca Mountains are the backdrop to 27 km of sandy Mediterranean beaches. West of Marbella is The Golden Mile with it´s prestigious nightclubs and coastal estates. And of course the marina of Puerto Banus with it´s luxury yachts, surrounded by upmarket boutiques and bars.
Here you will find two of the most renowned 5 star hotels. Marbella Club Hotel and Puente Romano are part of the Leading Hotels of the World. In the summer, one of the largest events in the area is the Starlite Festival. Aside of that during the year there are different fairs and celebrations such as the San Pedro one. Around Christmas time the town fills up with lights and creates a festive mood. Even though the temperatures could be far from winter ones. You could be sunbathing at the beach with a glass of sangria on New Year´s day!
